12 Days of Inspiration- Day 10

Welcome to the 10th day in the 12 Days of Inspiration! This one is a fun one. It was inspired when my daughter asked for a recipe book that she could start to collect her own recipes in. You know the ones, all the tired and true recipes that are completely worth spending the time to write out by hand. I created this one to hold those special family traditional recipes for the Holiday season.

The base of the album is from the clearance section, Everyday Life Album-black, isn't that a great way to start, something on sale!! Then what better way to make it even cuter than with the Gingerbread Friends Stamp & Thin Cuts Set. It just seemed to be a perfect fit. I cut the background shape from the You Are Here Cricut cartridge. I thought it looked kind of like a ornament.

This turned out to be one of my favorites from the 12 Days of Inspiration!

I love the way the Block Alpha Thin Cuts look cut out of the Black Glitter Paper and added to the front!

Enjoy! Chris

12 Days of Inspiration- Day 9

Welcome to 9 of the 12 Days of Inspiration- Day 9 features a cute little Santa card, there is inspiration for this card all over the place. I created a mini version on a 3x3 card base and a standard 4.25x5.5 card base.

It might not be the first thing that you notice but the Ruby paper is embossed with the Buffalo Plaid embossing folder on an angle to make the jacket look more like a plaid pattern. Isn't it cute!

Here are a few close-up's

12 Days of Inspiration- Day 8

Welcome to day 8 in the 12 Days of Christmas!! This one turned out so cute! I took the tags from the Cut Above Tag Kit- Merry Everything and turned the into these cute shaker ornament tags! I love when things have a dual purpose. You can add them to the top of a present and then hang it on your tree!!

I started with the tag as the base then I cut 9 rings from White Daisy Cardstock, as well a single Foil Paper ring. Here is a design space file if you would like to try, https://design.cricut.com/#/design/75679290

I glued the first ring to the tag with Liquid Glass, after all the White Daisy are adhered you add the sequins. Then cut a Flip Flap into a 3" circle, and adhere it to the top. I then colored an image from the Beary Christmas Scrapbooking Stamp & Thin Cut set. I adhered the image to the Foil Paper ring trimming anything that was outside of the ring and then added it to the top to finish the ornament.

Enjoy! Chris

12 Days of Inspiration- Day 7

Welcome to day 7 of my 12 Days of Inspiration Series-

How about another card with the Warmest Wishes Stamp Set & Thin Cuts, because you can never have too many flamingos!

This card has a completely different feel that the other card that I shared. I thought the paper from Falling for You resembled the "snow" of the snow globe.

I love that I was able to create a holiday card using the Fall themed paper!! It just shows how versatile all the products can be!

Enjoy! Chris

12 Days of Inspiration- Day 6

Welcome to day 6 of my 12 Days of Inspiration-

Today I am sharing two pretty cards that are not the tradition Christmas colours and love the way they turned out! I used some simple stamping with the Snowflake Stamp, and added a fun snowflake that I cut from the White Glitter paper and the You Are Here Cricut cartridge.

The stamped sentiment is from the Silver & Gold Cardmaking Stamp Set & Thin Cuts. There are so many great sentiments and images on the stamp set.

12 Days of Inspiration- Day 5

Welcome to day 5 of the 12 Days of Inspiration-

Who doesn't love a little gingerbread during the festive season? I couldn't wait to create something with the Gingerbread Friends Stamp Set & Thin Cuts.

I had fun doing some random stamping the Cranberry cardstock to create a fun background paper, on both the base of the card as well as behind the sentiment. I though the Black&White Dots made such cute buttons. The Gold Foil Paper behind the gingerbread boy makes it look even more holiday-like!!

Here is a look at the inside of the card-

12 Days of Inspiration- Day 3

Welcome to day 3 of the 12 Days of Inspiration-

This is a project that I create every year, but it is because I love it and it makes a great gift. I always have a few on hand at the holiday time just in case we need a last minute gift. It is a shadow box that I purchased at a local craft story. Then you can search for a cute holiday saying and cut it out of vinyl, and apply it to the front glass surface. I added a piece of the Gold & Silver paper from this years Holiday Expressions Idea Book and filled it will bells.

I have seen them filled with other holiday themed embellishments like Christmas ornaments etc. I love the fact that you can switch out a few supplies and have a completely different look!!

12 Days of Inspiration- Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the 12 Days of Inspiration-

This is a super sweet card that is for Christmas with a bit of whimsy. Who wouldn't love to get a card with a Flamingo on the front?

I stamped the Shells & Stars stamp to create the fun background and then colored it in with the Watercolor Pencils to add just a hint of color to the card.
The sentiment is heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder to play up the Silver Foil paper. The Flamingo scene is stamped with first and second generation stamping. I love the fact that the snow globe has a thin cut and stamp set bundle. There are so many great images you could create inside the globe, don't you think?

Enjoy! Chris
