Out with the Old! July Brae-er Team Blog Hop

Welcome to our July Team Braer Blog Hop that focuses on items that are being retired in our idea book.   You will see creations from our team that may include stamp sets, patterned paper, inks, embellishments and more from the Close To My Heart spring/ summer Idea book. To purchase any of the items seen in our blog hop today, kindly contact your local consultant to place an order.
We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we really love feedback from our blog viewers.... whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow our team's blogs, then please start at the beginning and join Brae at www.theBrae-er.com. If you came from Brae's blog of The Brae-er.com  then you are in the right place!

I am sure you are aware by now that the current Spring/Summer Close To My Heart Idea Book is retiring at the end of July.  I can always tell what I am going to miss at this time because it is the "item or items" that I am hoarding. This time it was the Lollydoodle collection. I love it all! I put together a mini album that was inspired by one that Vicki Wizniuk made from the "Free to Be Me Collection" - here is a link. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to try something similar. So I set to work.

I hope that you have enjoyed my project and don't forget to get Lollydoodle before it's gone!
Your next stop on the Team Braer Hop is Michelle of www.CreationswithMichelle.blogspot.com.

If you get lost along the way, you can head to Brae's blog at www.brae-er.com, as she has the complete blog list.

Some Lollydoodle Loving!

Here is a cute layout featuring the Close To My Heart "Lollydoodle" paper. The paper is so fun and I love how it matches my daughters cast. She had surgury last summer and decided that one of her cast would need to be hot pink. This layout is her sweet sixteen birthday. Just how you want to spend it with a cast to your arm pit!LOL! She was such a good sport and her brother even picked out fun balloons to match her cast.
The stacked cake is a fun cut from the Cricut Artbooking. I love how it all came together, including the shimmer trim because everyone should have a little glitter when they turn 16!

A Favorite Layout

When the Spring/Summer Idea book came out from Close to My Heart in January and I saw the layout on page 95.

I knew I had to try my hand at it. There were just so many things I loved about it, the colours, the hexagon and the overlay!
I have just been waiting to come across the right photos for it. I think I found them and this is how it turned out.

I made some changes to make it my own but I love everything about the page. My ladies at Scrapper's Club loved it too everyone was very excited to try their hand at it too this month. All the items needed to complete this page are currnetly available on my website but some will be gone at the end of the month! So make sure to check it out.

Ingredients: Cocoa Cardstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Colonial White Cardstock, Paper Fundamentals Basic Assortment, Teal Shimmer Trim, Honeycomb Stamp set, Keyboard Uppercase, Bitty Sparkles, Ink Pads- Sweet Leak, Bamboo, Cocoa, Lagoon, Desert Sand, and Olive, and Cricut Artbooking.

Cricut Flower Card

This is just a quick card using the paper and stamp set from Ivy Lane Workshop on the Go from CTMH. These are my very first attempt at creating the flower from the Atriste cartridge page 54. It was super easy- roll them up and add some Liquid Glue! I think they turned out super cute!
Here is a video on how to make them for yourself.

Pennant Frame

So I thought it was very timely that HO posted this video this week. It is a video about a great home decor item from the 2014 Spring/Summer Idea Book,(page 129) the My Creation Pennant Frame.
It is a short cute video that shows lots of different ways to personalize your own. The reason I found it so timely is....look what I just got!
I have this on my To Do List... I am just trying to pick the paper and embellishments now. I will post photos when I am finished. I know I am going to love this project so you might see a few here in the future! I am thinking even a class!
Enjoy! Chris

Stamp of the Month- Day Five

So I thought I would round out the week with a layout! This one features lots of new fun products from Close to my Heart. The paper is from the beautiful Skylark paper. I played around with the Artbooking cartridge and finished it off with some washi tape.
I think the layout was a fun way to end the week!

Stamp of the Month- Day Two

Here is my second card for my Stamp of the Month week. I have to say I love Washi tape! Such a quick way to add a bit of decoration, and the best part is the roll just keeps on going. A great bang for your buck.
I also use the new Close to my Heart embossing folders to create the background and cut the shape with the amazing Artbooking cartridge.

Again I believe this card was inspired from Pinterest.

I have to tell you I am loving the Close to My Heart Artbbooking Cricut cartridge! I just got mine this week and I am so looking forward to a weekend away of scrapbooking to play with it. I love the idea of taking all the bit and pieces and odd cuts to use in a Crush book!
