Why I became a Close to My Heart Consultant

This month the SOTM blog hop has a little bit different theme to it. We are asking all the consultants participating in the Blog Hop to explain their "Why" as to why they became a Close to My Heart consultant. I really believe that everyone's why is different and can change. Honestly when I first became a consultant in the industry it was to get my supplies at a discount!! Over time my why has definitely changed a few times. But today I can say my "why" is to inspire and create without a doubt. I love what I do and I am happy to be able to spend as much time doing it as possible. This job has completely filled a creative outlet for me. I love my job and love helping others find their "why". Here is a scarapbook page of my trip last year to Convention where we all celebrate everyone's why.

I decide that this stamp set would look so cute as a shaker card! I created the window for the card with a Close to My Heart Flip Flap- love those!! The paper and colors are all from the Fundamental Adventure paper palette.

This was such a fun card to create! I tried out a bunch of new products and a new to me technique!

It is a top fold card, with a layer of Kraft cardstock then a layer of the new Eggplant cardstock. I then cut a piece of the new Watercolor paper, embossed it with our white embossing power the image from the Paper Garden stamp set. Then I just had fun with the watercolors!

I found these super cute ice cream cones with "ice cream" scented bubbles! How fun is that? I thought they would make a great treat for anyone. I packaged the in the popcorn container from the Artiste Cricut cartridge. I stamped the front decoration with the Ice Cream Dream stamp set and coloured with our ShinHan Twin Marker. I created a card with the stamp set to go with the bubbles!

The How To Book that I picked was Magic, and my layout is adapted from " Hat Trick" on page 55. I love the fact that a sketch is only a starting point. You can twist and turn them so one set of pages is never the same! I decided to reverse the sketch and turned one on it's side. I decided to do something a little different for this project. I made a recipe box. It was created using a My Creation Journaling Card Box! I love how it came together! The "Yummy" on the front is stamped with the Framework Alphabet and coloured with the TwinTouch ShinHan markers.

Here are some of the details.

The lemon paper from the Taste of Summer paper pack was just perfect for this project. I cut the divider cards from the Artbooking Cricut Collection, in Gypsy and Canary, stamped with the Keyboard Uppercase, added a bit of Carnival and Boardwalk washi tape!
